For Our Vista Schools

Vista students deserve strong academics, safe and welcoming campuses, and schools where educators, parents, and families work together as partners in student success. We must help our children develop the skills and prepare them for strong futures.

Student Success
Technology can support learning, but it cannot replace the core skills every child needs to thrive. Students still need strong reading abilities, confidence with numbers, real critical‑thinking practice, and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with others. These human skills are what prepare students for life, no matter how quickly technology evolves. Our responsibility is to use AI wisely and intentionally, while ensuring that every child builds the solid academic and interpersonal foundation that will carry them into a strong future.
Kids need more than access to technology; they need the guidance, practice, and support that build real knowledge, real confidence, and real opportunities.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." — Nelson Mandela

I
I hold a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and have extensive experience in project management and design, including overseeing complex budgets, coordinating diverse teams, and ensuring accountability. These are skills I will bring to the school board with a clear focus on fiscal responsibility, transparency, and effective oversight and make sure every dollar is used to support student success.
Born in Ukraine, and lived in community over decate, I understand the challenges faced by immigrant families, and am deeply grateful for the opportunities and support I have found in this community. My experiences have shaped my belief that strong communities are built on well‑funded public schools and libraries, supported educators, and inclusive environments where every student feels safe, valued, and able to succeed.
I am a proud parent of two daughters in the Vista Unified School District and the spouse of a public school teacher. This gives me firsthand insight into the needs of students, families, and educators. As an active community member, I participate in PTA, volunteer to support refugees, and work to strengthen connections across our community.
